Little Pete loved going to the playschool where his teacher read him many magical stories. Close to his school was a little shed that always sparked Pete’s interest. One day, Pete decided to explore the shed. It was recess time and the teachers were not around. Grabbing this opportunity, Pete entered the shed. A blue ladder in the far corner of the shed caught his fancy. Poor Pete was scared of ladders, so he did not climb up the ladder and ran home. The next day, Pete told Max, his best friend, about the ladder. Max said, “Pete, you shouldn’t be scared of a ladder. I’ll climb first and then you follow.” Max clambered up the ladder and found himself in a park. He shouted, “Pete, you must come here. This has a merry-go-round, see-saw, slides and carousal.” Pete bravely climbed up the ladder. The boys played there happily.
