Once there was a grasshopper who whiled away his time playing. Summer passed by like this. Soon, it was winter time. There was snow everywhere. The grasshopper could not go out. He had nothing to eat as he had not collected food for the winter season. Then suddenly, the grasshopper remembered his neighbour, the ant. He remembered her working very hard throughout summers and storing up lots of food. He decided to ask her to spare him some food. So, the grasshopper went to the ant’s house and knocked at the door. He asked the ant, “Could you please spare me some food? I will repay you in good time.” The ant replied, “I can’t. You were playing away throughout the summer season while I worked so hard. Now you can pass your time dancing.” The grasshopper could not say anything to this and went away.
