Once upon a time, there was a caterpillar and a rose. The rose used to make fun of the caterpillar every day, calling her ugly. This made the caterpillar very sad. Every night, she asked the moon to make her as pretty as the rose, but it seemed as if the moon did not listen to her. The rose kept on making fun of her and the other roses began to do so, too. Days and months passed. One day, something wonderful happened. The caterpillar left her chrysalis and became a beautiful butterfly. She could now fly around like the birds, and was very happy. The beautiful butterfly flew high, looking at the old bush that was covered with roses once. The roses were beautiful earlier, but now they were shrivelled, and the wind was taking their petals away, leaving dry branches instead. The ugly caterpillar had become a beautiful butterfly, while the beautiful rose plant had become an ugly branch.
