A long, long time ago, there was a live palace full of magic. But it slept all the time. There lived a beautiful Princess who married a brave and strong warrior Prince. But he was so short-tempered that the smallest of the trouble would cause him to throw things outside the window. One day, he asked the Princess to leave the palace and travel to negotiate peace. So, the Princess left the palace and the Prince lived alone for a long time.
The Prince’s bad temper grew day by day and his attendants left him alone. He didn’t even look after his palace. With the passing days, more and more marks and cracks appeared on the walls, and floors of the palace. Everybody was angry at his ill-nature. The palace also tried to escape many times but he always found it. One day, when the Prince went out, the palace woke up and moved. It decided to hide behind a hill but it was so big that the Prince found it easily.
Fed up of the Prince’s actions, one night, the palace locked all its doors and windows. The Prince slept inside. For many days, the palace kept running ignoring the damage the Prince caused while trapped inside.
Finally, one day, the palace stopped and the doors opened. The Prince found himself surrounded by the snow. He explored the surroundings and wondered how to get out of the place. He searched but found nothing. Shivering, he decided to go back to the palace to warm up. He reached the palace and found the door and the windows locked. He banged on the door but it didn’t work. His whole body was shivering because of cold and he sat down outside the palace.
After a minute, the door slightly opened and he rushed towards it, but it slammed on his face. The palace shook all its windows. It was angry. “So that’s the way you want it!” the Prince shouted, “Then, get ready because this is a war. And I have never lost a battle.”
In the following days, the Prince tried every possible thing to go inside but he failed. The palace tried to keep him out. The cold began to freeze the Prince’s body and crackled the walls. Then, the Prince realised that the only way to win the battle would be to make peace. Soon, he started to repair the palace without getting angry.
Finally, the palace was fully repaired and it unlocked the door and allowed the Prince to come inside. The palace again looked magnificient. The palace, finally, forgave the Prince and ran back to its country. The Princess was very happy with the improved character of her husband who was no longer interested in wars. Now, the palace could continue its silent sleep.
