Once, an ass was eating grass. Suddenly, he saw a wolf at a distance. The ass understood that the wolf was there to eat him. So, he acted as if he had been lame. The wolf asked him, “Why are you limping?” The ass replied, “I was walking through the grass when a sharp thorn pricked me on my foot.” The wolf said, “But I thought I will make you my food for the day.” The ass replied, “You can eat me if you want. But, the thorn can injure your throat. So, it would be nice if you pull it out from my foot first.” The wolf lifted the ass’s foot to take out the thorn. To his surprise, the ass kicked the wolf and ran away. The wolf fell on the ground.
