The cow is a useful animal. In Hindu religion, it is worshipped as ‘mother’. It has four legs and two horns. It has an udder which contains teats. Its young one is called a calf. It gives us milk which is a wholesome food for young children. It feeds on fodder, grass, hay, etc. It does not hurt anybody. Its dung is beneficial. In villages, people use cow-dung cakes as fuel for their ‘chullahas’. It cities, people are rarely seen keeping cows due to lack of space. But in villages, cows are seen alomst in each and every house.
