The Crow’s False Promises

Once, a crow loved flying to new places. He had already seen many places. One such day, as the crow was flying around cheerfully, he did not see a net near by. Soon, he got trapped in the net. He prayed to Apollo saying, “O Lord! Please free me. I promise to repay you handsomely if you save me!” Apollo heard him and freed him from the net. The crow was happy. However, he forgot his promise. After a few days, the crow got trapped in a net again. This time, he did not pray to Apollo. He prayed to Mercury, “I do not want to die! Please save me! I promise to repay you handsomely if you save me!” Immediately, Mercury appeared and said, “You ungrateful cow! You broke your promise to Apollo. How can I believe you now?”
