The Crow’s Fat

Once upon a time, a king’s royal stable caught fire. Many horses were wounded. The royal physician was called into look into the matter. While the physician was coming towards the palace, he saw a crow sitting on a tree. The crow dropped his droppings on the physician. The physician was very angry and decided to take revenge. He went to the king and told him to rub the wounds of the horses with crows’ fat. The king ordered his servants to bring a crow’s fat. Many crows were killed for the same. Very few crows were left in this process. One day, a crow flew and spoke to the king, “Sir! Please do not kill any more crows on the wrong advice of your physician, for we crows have no fat.” The king realised his mistake and stopped the killing of the crows immediately.
