Once, a crow was very hungry. She flew around looking for food. She was so tired that she could have eaten anything. As the crow flew over a hill, she spotted a serpent lying on the ground. The hungry crow exclaimed, “I have finally found something to eat.” Now, the crow thought that the serpent was dead as it lay still. So, excitedly, she flew down at a great speed and greedily grabbed the serpent by his tail. Now, in reality, this serpent was not dead. He was resting in the warm sun digesting the food he had eaten a little while ago. The serpent was very angry when he saw the crow pulling his tail. He immediately got up and bit the crow. As the crow was dying, she shouted out in pain, “My error has caused me my death. I should not have been hasty!”
