A bear loved to travel. But, he was curious by nature. He always questioned everything. One day, the bear was walking through a village. He saw many fowls in a farm. They were drinking water from a pool. After every sip, they would raise their heads to the sky. His curiosity grew as he watched. He asked them, “Why do you look up after you have drunk water?” A fowl replied, “It is an old religious custom. We show our gratitude to Heaven and God for the food and water we receive.” The bear found this custom very strange and so funny that he laughed aloud for a long time. He also imitated the fowls’ actions and made fun of them. The fowls were hurt by this. Finally, one wise fowl said to him, “You should never make fun of somebody else’s customs and traditions.”
