Once, there lived a king named Henry, who had a son, George. When he was just a little baby, a wicked witch cursed George and he became deaf. George grew up to be a handsome and strong young man. On his eighteenth birthday, he was out riding to a forest when a forest fairy named Petal saw him. Fairy Petal knew all about the witch’s curse, and she also knew how to cure George. She took prince George to a pool of water and asked him to drink some water from it. Soon, the prince became drowsy and fell asleep. When George woke up, he could hear the birds chirping and the wind whistling. Fairy Petal explained everything to him and said, “Now that you are eighteen, the witch’s curse became weaker and I was able to cure you.” Prince George married fairy Petal and together they ruled the kingdom wisely.
