Once, while hunting, a king was chasing a deer in the forest. The deer ran as swiftly as he could. The king followed him. He was so determined to kill the deer that he did not see a trap set by the hunters before him. Suddenly, he fell into a pit covered with branches and dry grass. The king shouted in fear, “Please help! Anyone passing by, help me!” The deer was a few metres away. He heard the king’s cry and came to the pit. The kind deer held one end of a strong rope-like climber in his mouth and threw the other end into the pit. The king held the climber tightly and using his feet against the wall of the pit started climbing up. After much struggle, the king was out of the pit. The king saw that the deer, which he wanted to kill, had helped him. He was very ashamed and never hunted again.
