A deer was very proud of his golden horns. But, he was not happy as he felt that his legs were very thin and ugly. One day, the deer was drinking water and admiring the reflection of his horns in the water, when he heard some noise. Upon looking up, he saw a hunter across the pond. The hunter was aiming his arrow at the deer. Alarmed, the deer ran away. He kept running and running but the hunter was behind him. But suddenly, while running, the deer’s horns got stuck in a tree. The deer tried to free himself but could not do so. Not long after, the hunter soon came there and caught him. The deer sighed in agony, “Oh! My beautiful horns have brought me nothing but trouble. The hunter caught me because of them.”
