Frisky was a lamb always running about. He did not heed anyone.
He did what he felt.
Frisky lived with his parents. He never listened to what his parents said. He was
a disobedient lamb.
His parents had made a rule for Frisky that he should be off to bed by nine at night.
But, Frisky used to watch television late in the night after his parents had gone off to sleep.
One day, Frisky’s mother said to him, “Do not bring your muddy feet inside the house.
You will make the house dirty.”
But, Frisky cared little. He came running inside the house with
dirty feet making his mother angry, yet again.
One day, there were dark clouds in the sky. It was going to rain heavily.
Frisky’s mother warned him not to go out of the house.
Now, after some time, Frisky’s friend, Tawny, called him, “Hey! Come over. We will play.”
Frisky got excited. He did not bother about his parents’ warning and went off.
When he was halfway across to his friend’s house, it started raining. Soon, it was raining heavily.
The clouds thundered and lightning flashed across the sky.
Frisky got scared and started trembling.
He started running fast. But suddenly, his foot got stuck in a puddle.
Frisky tried pulling his foot out but could not. He started crying in pain and shouted for help.
Meanwhile, Frisky’s parents realised that Frisky was missing. They got panicky.
They called all his friends. Finally, they called Tawny who told them everything.
Frisky’s parents did not waste a moment. They went searching for Frisky.
Soon, they found him and were relieved. Father pulled Frisky’s foot out.
Then, they took him back home.
Frisky’s parents were very angry with him for not listening to them.
Frisky was too ashamed.
Frisky said, “I am sorry to have caused so much trouble.
I will never be disobedient again. I promise.”
Frisky’s parents knew that Frisky was sorry. They forgave him.
Frisky had become a good lamb finally.
Moral : One should always listen to elders.
