Once upon a time, a dog was sitting in his master’s lawn. Suddenly, he saw a cat on the top of a high wall. He thought, ‘It must be so nice to be so high above the ground. If only I could climb!’ After a while, he saw a fish in a river. He sighed, “Oh, I wish I could live in the water!” Just then, the fish sighed, “Oh! The grass looks so nice and warm. I wish I could lie down on it.” The dog was surprised to hear this. A short while later, a bird came flying. Seeing the dog lazing around, it said aloud, “I wish I could laze around the whole day like this dog. I wish I did not have to build a nest for myself, search for food and tire my wings.” The dog realized his mistake. He stopped complaining. He appreciated what he had.
Moral: Appreciate what you have.
