Once, a dog met a sick wolf. The dog asked the wolf, “What happened to you?” The wolf replied, “I have been hungry for many days. That is why I have fallen sick.” The kind dog said, “I can help you if you want. I live with my master and get to eat food every day in exchange for the work I do there. You too can come with me and share my work and get food.” The wolf eagerly set off to meet the dog’s master. Suddenly, the wolf observed that some portion of the dog’s hair was missing from his neck and asked him about it. The dog replied, “It is because my master puts a collar around my neck and chains me at night.” The wolf said, “I will not go with you. I would rather eat less than be your master’s slave.”
