Once, a farmer had a big farm. He owned many donkeys. The farmer was very proud of his donkeys, for they worked very hard. He was very kind to his donkeys and they loved him too. One night, a donkey noticed the shadowy figure of a thief sneaking across the fields towards the farm. The donkey grew very nervous and began to kick and jump about. He began to bray, ‘Hee-haw! Hee-haw!’ The other donkeys also joined him. They all kicked and jumped and made loud braying noises, ‘Hee-haw! Hee-haw!’ The farmer woke up hearing all the commotion. He jumped out of the bed and ran down towards the stable. At that moment, he saw the thief. Seeing the farmer the thief got scared and ran away from the far. The farmer patted his donkeys in gratitude. The donkeys, in turn, were very happy that they had helped the farmer.
Moral: Kindness always repays.
