On a hot summer day, a dog and a donkey were going to the town along with their master. After walking for a few hours, the master unloaded the donkey and settled under a tree for a nap. The donkey and the dog were hungry. The donkey was happy to see some grass. So he started grazing. Suddenly, the dog remembered that there were some loaves of bread among the load the donkey was carrying. He asked the donkey to give him some to eat. The donkey said, “Sorry! I cannot. Let the master wake up first. He will feed you then.” Just then, a wolf came there. The donkey looked at the dog and pleaded with him to help. The dog replied, “I am not strong enough to deal with the wolf. Let the master wake up. He will help you then.” The donkey realised his folly and apologised to the dog.
