The Dream

The-Dream

Once, a king of a certain kingdom woke up dreaming about losing all his teeth. He summoned a well-known fortune teller to interpret his dream. “Your Majesty, losing all the teeth means the death of the whole family!” the fortune teller interpreted. Hearing this, the king got very angry. He ordered, “Punish this fortune teller by whipping him twelve times.” So, the poor fortune teller was punished. But the king was still not satisfied. He was curious about his dream. So, he again called another fortune teller to interpret his dream. After listening to the dream, the fortune teller smiled and said, “The dream means that you are the luckiest person in the whole world. You will live longer than the other members of your family.” Having heard this explanation, a bright smile came on the king’s face. He was extremely happy. He awarded twelve gold coins to the clever fortune teller.
