Once, there lived a little girl called Lilly. One day, Lilly’s parents had to visit her sick grandmother. They promised to be back before sunset and left. While playing, Lilly saw her father’s bag hanging on a wall. He had told her never to open it. The curious Lilly opened the bag a little. An elf jumped out of the bag. “Who are you?” asked Lilly. “I am your father’s helper,” replied the elf. Then he started jumping around the house, throwing things around. Lilly did not like it. As the elf reached the kitchen shelf, she picked the elf and dropped it in the bag. Lilly tied the bag shut. An hour later, Lilly’s parents returned. Lilly said, “Father, I opened your bag and saw the elf. Mother, he scattered things everywhere. I am sorry.” Lilly’s parents were proud that she spoke the truth. They forgave her.
