A farmer had many hens. But he was always dissatisfied with them. He wanted them to lay more eggs than they could. One day, as the farmer was collecting eggs, he came across a hen which had laid a golden egg. The farmer was overjoyed. He started giving special treatment to the hen. He placed her in a special place and kept her cozy and warm. But soon, the farmer became impatient. He wanted the hen to lay more golden eggs. He started pestering the hen. The poor hen lost her patience and decided to lay normal eggs. The farmer got very angry at this. So, the hen decided not to lay any eggs. The other hens also decided to go on a strike. They wanted the farmer to be kind towards them. The farmer realized his mistake and mended his ways.
