Once, a man had two children – a boy and a girl. The boy was very good‑looking while the girl was ugly. Once, the two children were playing together. Suddenly, they came across something shiny. On a closer look, they could see themselves in it. It was a mirror. Both the children looked at the mirror together. The boy found that he was very handsome. He was very happy. The girl found that she was very ugly. This made her angry. She said, “I should be beautiful as I am a girl, not you.” The children went to their father. On learning the cause of their trouble, the man kissed them and said, “My children! Do not fight. Son, have good manners to stay handsome. And you, my daughter, have excellent manners so that you may not look ugly.”
