He was a proud father of two beautiful daughters. While the younger one was married to a poor farmer, the elder was married to a potter. Once the father decided to invite his daughters. First, he invited his younger daughter and asked her, “How is the business going on?”
“Fine!” replied the daughter, “But our land needs more irrigation. Pray to God for heavy rains.”
Then he put his elder daughter the same question. She said, “It’s all going on well. But pray for dry weather to harden our pots.”
And imagine the dilemma of the poor father. “What should I pray for?” he exclaimed, “My two daughters have two different wishes.”
