Once, Shail, a flying turtle and her siblings, who had just come out from the eggs were relaxing in the seaside. Suddenly a flock of seagulls came there flying and swooped down all the siblings of Shail and flew away. Seeing this Shail started crying. Hearing her crying a crab came out of his cave and took her inside where a barnacle, a sea slug, and a mussel were resting. They consoled Shail. One day, a seagull attacked Shail. Shail ran as fast as she could. Suddenly, she flapped her flippers and found herself flying. “I can fly!” she screamed. Her friends were startled to see a turtle flying.
Since then, Shail became bold because whenever the seagulls swooped down, she flew away. After a few years, when Shail gave birth to baby turtles, she kept a close watch on them. As soon as the seagulls neared them, Shail ordered her babies to climb on her back. Flapping her flippers, she flew away!
