Once, in a sweltering hot day, a fox was very famished and wandering in search of food. He roamed for hours but didn’t find anything to eat. While roaming he reached an orchard, where he saw a bunch of ripe, juicy grapes on a vine hanging high on a branch. His mouth watered at the sight. The fox was too confident that he would have that grapes.
He moved back a few paces and jumped high to get hold of the grapes. But the grapes were too high for him to reach. He tried again and again but failed each time. Finally, he grew tired and walked away saying, “I’m sure these grapes are sour. So, I don’t want them any more.” A crow sitting on a tree, near by laughed at the fox for showing disinterest because the fox was unable to get what he wanted.
