Once, a fox was very ravenous and wandering in the whole jungle. While roaming he felt thirsty and decided to go to a nearby river. As he reached there he started to drink water. Suddenly, he saw, a turtle resting out of the river in the sunlight. The fox suddenly pounced on the turtle and took it in his mouth. The fox greedily tried to take a bite of the turtle but could not break through its hard shell. The fox was wondering what to do when the shrewd turtle suggested, “Why don’t you put me in the water for some time?
Then my body will become soft and spongy and you’ll easily be able to eat me up. The fox thought it was a good idea and dipped the turtle in the river. The turtle had just been waiting for this opportunity. He quickly swam to the midpoint of the river and laughed, “I’m cleverer than you. Now you’ll remain hungry.”
