The Football Match

Long ago, Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia and President Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya were watching a football match. The match was being played between their national teams. Neither of the team was able to score the goal, so the match was over. Finally, the referee decided that the two men would act as goalkeepers. First Jomo Kenyatta acted as goalkeeper and the Ethiopian Emperor was all set to kick a penalty. The Ethiopian Emperor kicked hard and scored a goal. Now, it was the turn of the Kenyan President and the Ethiopian Emperor would act as goalkeeper. The Kenyan President started running from the other goal all the way down the field to build up his speed. The Ethiopian President was so afraid that he ran away and the Kenyan Emperor scored. Haile Selassie was asked, “Why did you run away?” He replied, “We Ethiopians save ourselves from bullets, let alone balls.”
