One day, Pansy, a beautiful parrot, was happily flying above a forest. Just then, Pansy heard a loud cry. She looked carefully and saw a little griffin hanging out of a nest atop a high tree. Pansy flew to the nest and at once helped the griffin back into the nest. The baby griffin was very scared. She cried out, “I am very hungry. My mother went to bring food but she hasn’t returned for a long time.” Pansy felt sad for the little one. “Don’t worry,” she said, “I will bring you some food.” She flew around, looking for food. Soon, she found some nuts. She carried them to the little griffin and offered them. “Thank you, Pansy,” smiled the griffin. Soon, Mama Griffin returned to the nest. The little one told her that Pansy had saved her life and brought her food. The older griffin thanked Pansy with a box of candies. Pansy flew away, happily.
