Once, three brothers, Ed, Eddie and Fred met an old man in the forest. The old man said, “I’ll give a gold coin to whoever will carry these logs to my cottage.” Ed was lazy and refused to help. Eddie was greedy and agreed to help for a gold coin. Fred simply picked up the logs and carried them to the old man’s cottage. When the old man offered him the gold coin, Fred refused to accept it. The old man said, “Son, I am a wizard. Just remember me if you ever need help.” A few days later, the cottage where the brothers lived caught fire. Fred ran outside but Ed and Eddie were trapped. Fred immediately thought of the old man. Just then, the wizard appeared and saved the two brothers. Ed and Eddie thanked the wizard and realised that it was Fred’s helpful nature that had saved their lives.
