In the later years of his life, the King of the Jungle, the Lion, lay lifeless on the ground. He was very old and was suffering from many diseases. He was the King of the Jungle throughout his life and all the animals bowed to him. And now, he was taking his last breath alone in his cave.
While the Lion was resting, a wild Boar was passing by. The Boar saw the Lion lying on the ground lifeless. He was always afraid of the mighty Lion. And now that the Lion was powerless, the Boar took this opportunity to show his might.
“You have always been strong and we were the weak ones. Now let us see who is strong.” The Boar said to the Lion and attacked him with his tusks.
The Lion lay there in pain but no one came to help him. A Bull was passing by when he saw the injured Lion lying helplessly. He remembered the days when the Lion ruled the Jungle and everyone was scared of him. He wanted to prove his strength. He ran towards the Lion and attacked him with his horns.
The pain was unbearable for the Lion and he shouted for help. An Ass was passing by and he heard the Lion shouting. He went closer to see the injured Lion bleeding profusely. The Ass thought, ‘He scared us all. Now it’s his time to face our wrath.’ The Ass hit the Lion hard with his heels.
The Lion lay dying and said his last words, “Now that I am weak, all the animals are attacking me. This is a sign of a weakling.”
