Once upon a time, there was a hungry snake which had not eaten for many days. One day, it came out of the forest and went into a farmer’s house. There, the snake saw a bottle of milk. As it was very thin, the snake slithered into the bottle and drank the milk. Now, it was too fat and could not come out of the bottle. After some time, the farmer returned and saw the snake in the bottle. He said, “Where is the milk? Spit it out if you want to get out of the bottle?” The snake thought, ‘If I spit out the milk and come out of the bottle, the farmer will kill me and I’ll still be hungry, so it is better to stay here and die.’ So, he stayed in the bottle and died. In life, if you have two bad choices, take the better of two troubles.
