God created man as His best work. Man had intelligence, strength, power, speech and so on. When the animals saw man, they were impressed. They were also envious of man’s qualities. They started imitating the qualities of man. The lion took on man’s strength and dynamism. The fox took on man’s cleverness. The dog gained man’s friendly nature. The parrot started talking in the human tongue. The monkey adopted man’s use of hands and mannerisms. The cat adopted man’s elegant walk, sharp looks and serious nature. Now, destiny helped in providing human qualities to the animals who longed for them. But, she did not like the fact that they were unhappy with their original selves. So, she ordained, “Though you have gained manly qualities, you shall always be under man’s control. He will use you as he wishes.”
