Once, a rabbit named Simu used to go to town school. He was in the ninth class and loved the most beautiful lady of his class. He daily saw her but never purposed his ladylove. Now Simu was in college but still he was afraid to purpose her. When Miss Macdonald asked him what the matter was, he told her about his love. Miss Macdonald chided him for being a coward. Soon, he saw his ladylove coming along. Simu summoned courage and went to her and purposed her to marry him. The girl replied, “I’ve been looking for the right sign.” Simu said, “If you’d told me about it, you would have found your husband.” “And who would that be?” asked the girl. “Me, of course,” said Simu.
On hearing this, the girl walked away in a huff. Simu now started thinking of ways in which he could show the right sign to her. He sang loudly, “This little girl is looking for a sign. She’ll see her lover down by the big pine.” Next morning, the girl walked to the pine tree. Simu was waiting for her. The girl realized that Simu was fooling her and went away. Poor Simu was left all alone.
