The Independence Day

India got independence from the British rule on August 15, 1947.
We got independence after a long struggle.
15th August is now celebrated as Independence Day all over the country.
The main celebrations are held at the Red Fort in New Delhi.
I saw the Independence Day celebrations last year.
The Prime Minister unfurled the Tricolour.
He also delivered a wonderful speech.
A large crowd attended the celebration.
The helicopters showered flower petals from the sky.
