Farmer Coole did all his accounts on every Friday. He was better at working in the fields than writing in his books! He spilt ink all over the place and got into a lot of trouble with Mrs Coole. “Mr Coole, I am sick of cleaning ink stains,” she announced one day, “If you spill any more ink on your shirt, I shall not clean it!” Poor Farmer Coole was miserable, but the next Friday he had a large ink spot on his shirt again! He tried to hide it, but it was of no use. Mrs Coole found it. There was a terrible look on her face. The next day, Mrs Coole had a large amount of washing to do. She finished everything and ironed all the shirts and put them away finally. When Farmer Coole opened his cupboard to dress, he found all his shirts were blue! Mrs Coole had solved her problem!
