The Island King and the Pious Israelite

There was a notable man of the Children of Israel who had accumulated good wealth and led a pious life. His son was well taught about good virtues. When his father was dying, he called his son and advised him never to swear falsely in the name of God.

After he died, many of their acquaintances with cunning minds started making demands on the son for monies which they falsely declared to have been given to his father in trust. The son still repaid all his debts to whoever asked and in the process became totally penniless.

He then decided that he would go away to a faraway country with his wife and children. Thus he took a journey in a ship. He realized that when the Allah makes the judgment, there is no reversal. As they were sailing, there was a shipwreck in the middle of the sea. The man was saved by clinging onto a wooden plank and got drifted to an island.

One son was rescued by a ship and the other son was drifted to a different country. The wife too was drifted to a different country. As destined, all three were saved but ended up in different places.
