The Kind Pixie

Rosy and Garth whiled away their time, painting and playing football on their lawn in summer. “Rosy, let’s play football,” said Garth. Both started playing. Rosy ran after the ball which rolled into the bush. “Hey Garth, see this,” said Rosy. Rosy was holding out a broken wing. Suddenly, there was a moan from the bushes. “Who’s there?” asked Garth. “That wing is mine,” squeaked a voice. It was a little pixie, who wore a flowing pink dress and had golden hair. “I cannot fly because my wings are broken,” she said. Rosy quickly got out some glue and stuck together the broken wing. “Thank you,” said the pixie. “Would you like to fly too?” she asked. “Yes,” chorused the children in delight. The next day, the pixie brought two pairs of wings in blue and red. Rosy and Garth wore the wings and had a wonderful time flying around in the garden.
