A mean crow and a kind sparrow lived on the same tree. One night, the sparrow ran short of water and sent her children to borrow some water from the crow. The crow said, “I cannot give you water just because I am your neighbour.” The kind sparrow told her children, “It’s all right! We will share whatever we have.” That night, it rained heavily. Water damaged the crow’s nest. So, he went to the sparrow’s nest and asked for help. The sparrow said, “You can sleep in the basement.” The crow saw a sack of beans in the basement. He was hungry and started eating all the beans. In the morning, his stomach had swollen up. The crow said, “I ate all the beans and now my stomach has swollen.” The kind sparrow said, “Don’t worry! I’ll call the doctor immediately.” The sad crow apologised for what he had done before. From then on, they became good friends.
