Once a certain King disguised himself to oversee the affairs of his lieges in a village, and stopped by a house for water. A fair woman attended him and he got mesmerized by her beauty.
When she realized this, she handed him a book that read the Divine prohibition against adultery and punishments set by Allah for committing this sin. The King repented and went away.
When the woman’s husband returned home, she narrated him what had passed and he got confused and decided not to have physical relations with her thereafter. Few days later, she shared this with her kinships and they all complained this to the King.
The King then very brilliantly explained the woman’s husband that his wife is still pure and is very much dedicated to her husband and that she doesn’t deserve such treatment by her husband. He then gifted both husband and wife, and sent them away.
