The Kite-Flying Competition

The-Kite-Flying-Competition

Adam was participating in the annual kite-flying competition at his school. So, he went to buy a kite so that he might practise. When he went inside a kite store, he was confused. “Take this deep red kite or a stunning blue one. They are costly and thus good,” said the shopkeeper. Adam shook his head. He knew he could not afford to buy a costly kite. Suddenly, a kite caught his eye. “What is the price of that kite?” asked Adam, pointing towards the most colourful kite in the shop. The shopkeeper said, “Oh, that is very cheap and it is so common.” Adam bought the colourful kite and said, “Sir, my mom says cost doesn’t make something the best. Something common can also be very beautiful.” The shopkeeper said, “You are very wise. I’ll always remember this.” Adam practised well with the colourful kite and stood first in the competition.
