A woodcutter lived near a forest with his beautiful daughter. One day, he took his daughter with him to help him chop some wood. Suddenly, a lion came there. He saw the daughter and fell in love with her. He wished to marry her. So, the next day, the lion went to the woodcutter’s house and said, “I would like to marry your daughter.” Now, the woodcutter, who was afraid of the lion, could not say ‘no’. But he had a clever idea. He said to the lion, “You may marry my daughter. But first, go and cut your sharp teeth and nails, for she is scared of them.” The lion rushed off. Within no time, he got his nails and teeth cut. When the woodcutter saw the lion without his sharp teeth and nails, he was no longer afraid of him. He beat the foolish lion and drove him away.
