Once, a sailor went on a voyage and took his monkey with him. On the way, their ship was caught in a storm. The ship got wrecked. The sailor and the monkey were in the water. A dolphin saw the monkey and put him on his back. The dolphin mistook the monkey for a man. While they swam, the dolphin asked, “Are you an Athenian?” The monkey lied, “Yes! I belong to one of the noblest families in that city.” The dolphin then asked about the famous harbour of Athens, “Do you know about Piraeus?” The monkey thought that Piraeus was the name of a man. He replied, “Yes, I know Piraeus very well. We are good friends. I am eagerly waiting to see him.” The dolphin realised that the monkey was lying. He dropped the monkey in the water and went away.
