The next day at dawn, the Princess looked into the mirror. She could not find Xiawudong. Then, she ordered the mirror to look into the lakes and oceans. “I see him! There he is, in the belly of a big fish; have him arrested and brought to the palace!” said the Princess. Though Xiawudong’s attempt was a failure yet the Princess gave him a second chance!
Xiawudong thought of seeking the eagle’s help this time. The next day, the magic mirror could not find him on land or water. The Princess ordered the mirror to take a look at the sky. There, he was, riding on the back of an eagle! He’s failed again! But the Princess said, “You’ve failed in your second attempt too. I’ll give you the last and final chance. It’s the dungeon for you if you fail.”
