Minnie was bored of staying at home in summers. So, she went out in the garden. There, she troubled the insects around her. Just then, she saw a spider and ran after it. She followed it into a tree-hole. As she stepped into it, she slid down and fell onto a pile of soft leaves. This was a magical land. Insects and birds talked and laughed. They all looked so happy and friendly. However, as one of them saw Minnie, he shrieked, “This is the girl who hurts and troubles our brothers and sisters.” Everybody became angry and prepared to attack Minnie. Just then, the spider that Minnie had seen earlier came forward and said, “Minnie, we won’t hurt you. But promise that you will never destroy and hurt us. We have a right to live too.” Minnie was ashamed and apologised. She promised never to hurt anyone.
