Long ago, a man decided to buy a pair of shoes. He took out a sheet of paper and put his foot on it. Then he took the proper measurements of his foot. Satisfied, the man marched off to the market to get the shoes. Soon, he entered a shoe shop. He slipped his hand in his pocket to take out the foot measurements but found no paper there. He realised that he had forgotten his paper at home. So, he went all the way home to get the paper. He safely put the paper in his pocket and again went to the shop. But it was quite late by the time he reached the shop. The owner was almost closing it. The man explained everything to the owner. The owner was surprised at the foolishness of the man. He exclaimed, “When you were already here, why did you need the measurements?”
