Once upon a time, Miss Magpie lived in a dense forest. One day, she realised that her precious coins were missing. She searched everywhere but could not find them. Then, Miss Robin got to know about the missing coins and suggested her to hire a detective. Miss Magpie agreed with her friend, Miss Robin. The very next day, Magpie called two detectives of the forest, Mr. Hare and Mr. Mouse. Both were incredibly intelligent and capable detectives but Mr. Hare was shrewder than Mr. Mouse. Magpie decided to hire both the detectives as she wanted to get her coins back as soon as possible. Both the detectives started finding the clues. Soon, Mr. Mouse reached a tunnel under the forest. While he was entering the tunnel, he saw Mr. Mole and thought what he was doing there. Mr. Mouse was very shy, so he said nothing to him and continued looking for the missing coins.
After some time, Mr. Hare, too, reached the tunnel and saw Mr. Mole sitting in a corner. Mr. Hare came near to Mr. Mole and asked, “What are you doing here?” “I am taking care of something very important,” replied Mr. Mole. Then, Mr. Hare asked again, “Are you talking about the coins?” Mr. Mole replied, “Yes, Mr. Hare. These coins have been bothering me for months. They are getting in the way of my tunneling.”
The hare told Mr. Mole that the coins belonged to Miss Magpie and she hired him to find them out. Then, Mr. Hare took the coins from Mr. Mole and gave them to Miss Magpie, and collected his reward. Mr. Mouse, who had been watching all this, learnt a lot from it. From that day, he never allowed shyness in his good work and soon he became the best detective in the forest.
