The moon looks down on us from the night sky, along with the stars that twinkle like diamonds. Sometimes the moon is big and round like a ball and is called the ‘full moon’. At the other times it is like a semi – circle. It looks as though someone has bitten into it. It is called a ‘half moon’. On some nights, the moon hides behind the clouds and we don’t see it at all. The moon is one of the most beautiful sights in the universe. All sorts of tales have been told about the moon. The moon is about 238,850 miles away from the earth. There is no life on the moon, and it is full of rocks.
