The New Leader

After the death of Moses, God called Joshua and asked him to lead His followers to the Promised Land of Canaan. Joshua was unsure of undertaking such a responsibility, as he never acted as a leader. Throughout his life, he acted as a helper to Moses and thought that he was no close to his capabilities. God encouraged him to be strong, and not be scared of anything at all. He would be always there for him and help him to get over the difficult situations. However it was necessary that he trusted God and His verdicts. Unless he was determined and had the instinct to win, he could never accomplish any task. God asked to study His law, and follow the things confidently. Such preaching’s encouraged Joshua, who asked his people to join him to cross River Jordon.
