The Ox and the Flea

Once, an ox was pulling a huge cart full of heavy load. He was sweating heavily and seemed tired. A flea, sitting on a tree, saw the ox pulling the heavy cart. She flew down and asked the ox, “I can see that you are tired. Why do you put up with this? You are so huge and strong. Look at me. Though I am tiny yet I lead a free life. I feed on other people’s blood, and no one can catch me.” The ox replied, “I know what you are saying. But my master loves me. I cannot be disloyal to him. He often pats my head and shoulders.” The flea was shaken, “Oh! You may like to be patted by your master, but if your master were to pat me, I could die easily.”
