Once, a family was going on vacation. The son was very excited, for his father had bought a pair of expensive shoes for him. As they sat in the bus, the son removed his shoes to take a nap. It was late by the time he got up. Now, when he looked around for his shoes, he found one shoe missing. He started crying loudly. His parents tried to console him. His father said soothingly, “Do not worry. I will buy a new pair of shoes for you.” Hearing this, the son was very happy. He was so excited that he threw the remaining shoe out of the bus though his parents tried to stop him. Soon, they reached their destination. As they picked their luggage, they found the missing shoe under a bag. The son cried, “Oh! If only I had not thrown my other shoe out of the bus!”
Moral: Never be in haste.
